Follow-up to worm bedding and food

Non-waxed cardboard and paper are definitely good choices for bedding as they are carbon sources for fungi growth and the glue between the cardboard layers provides carbohydrates for the worms as a food source that won't heat up.

They can also serve as a "bulking" agents to keep other feedstock from packing, thus allowing air in and around the food layers.

The only problem would be to cut/shred into small enough pieces to break down within a reasonable amount of time. Newsprint needs to be cut into 1" strips, as would the cardboard.
